Exploring Curiosity Rover in Blender

Today I came across couple of web based experiences of the Mars Curiosity rover.

At https://mars.nasa.gov/msl/rover-3d, you can see an overview of the model and also click on specific parts to learn more about it.

At https://eyes.nasa.gov/curiosity/, you can check out and interactive animated experience.

After further research I also found that NASA/JPL provides 3D models of the Curiosity rover. You can download the model from the following locations

• glTF Model
• .blend file

I downloaded the Blender file and investigated the 3D model. The blender file has animation as well.

It is so cool that NASA makes 3D models of some of their space explorers available for us. Thank you NASA and JPL.
