First steps with Dynamic Paint in Blender

After watching a comprehensive introductory tutorial (below) by Mr. Cheebs, I started tinkering with Dynamic Paint in Blender.

Dynamic Paint Test - Canvas Image Sequence mode

Workflow:

1. Set up the scene with passive and active rigid bodies
2. Bake the RBD simulation
3. Tag the active RBD objects as dynamic paint brushes
4. Tag the passive rigid body as dynamic paint canvas object and set mode to image sequence
5. Bake the dynamic paint simulation image sequences
6. Hook up the dynamic paint rendered image sequences as texture map on the dynamic paint canvas mesh.

Dynamic Paint Test - Canvas Vertex Colors mode

Workflow:

1. Set up the scene with passive and active rigid bodies
2. Bake the RBD simulation
3. Tag the active RBD objects as dynamic paint brushes
4. Add a vertex color layer to the passive rigid object mesh.
5. Tag the passive rigid body as dynamic paint canvas object and set mode to vertex paint. Set the Output Paintmap layer to the previously created vertex color layer.

So many ideas are coming into my head now and I cannot wait to explore this feature in depth and also learn how to combine it with other simulation/physics areas of Blender.
